The new BinTalk Pro sensor can create a 3D image of your bin, right from the BarnTalk App and Web Portal! This page goes over how to request an image and troubleshooting steps if needed.
The 3D Visualization is for BinTalk Pro models ONLY. Learn more about the sensor here.
When an image is requested, the gateway and all sensors paired will go offline up to 4 minutes. This means that alarms may be delayed if something were to alert during this time.
General Info
- Images will remain in the app / portal for 30 days.
- Only gateway owners OR secondary gateway owners can request images.
- Organization owners can also submit image requests.
- There can only be one image requested at a time per gateway. Once the first image completes, then the next one can be requested.
Mobile App
- Launch the BarnTalk App.
- Please make sure the app is updated to version 4.9.4.
- Select the Gateway the sensor is paired to, and then select the BinTalk Pro tile.
- Tap "3D Visualization" towards the top.
- IMPORTANT: Read the information on the screen about how the 3D Visualization process works.
- Select "3D Visualization". Once the image has been requested, it will continue to run in the background until completed. No need to wait on the screen!
Web Portal
- Sign into the BarnTalk Web Portal.
- Select the Gateway that the BinTalk Pro is paired to.
- Locate the sensor and select the 3 dots under actions.
- Choose 3D Visualization.
- Read the prompts, then select Create 3D Visualization in blue.
Troubleshooting
- If the Visualizer fails after one attempt, please try again.
- If it continues to fail, the sensor may have poor connection to the gateway.
- Check your sensor antenna placement and follow our help article to confirm it's in the most optimal location for connectivity. If issues continue, please contact our support team.
- If the image doesn't look correct (i.e more or less feed than expected), inspect the sensor.
- Make sure it's mounted correctly and straight up and down.
- Check for any obstructions or anything blocked the camera lenses.
- Confirm the calibrations are set correctly.
- Tap on the sensor tile > 3 dots towards the top left > Bin Settings.
